Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is set in a lovely location with dark country lanes leading to a nearby pub and various areas like the bar, reception, bedrooms, and garden accessible. The rooms offer ample space to move around freely and feature perfectly sized round tables for guest interaction, but some improvements are needed with the broken electric heater and the sofa in the sitting area. The service shows a mix of warm welcomes from receptionists and challenges in finding staff members promptly.
The hotel seems to be located in the middle of nowhere next to the fields, which may not be ideal for everyone. On the bright side, the friendly staff and the pleasant receptionist make you feel welcome. However, the breakfast service on Sunday morning was very poor, leaving much to be desired.
The hotel was conveniently located near the event we were attending in Leigh-on-Sea. The rooms were spacious, equipped with a nice sofa, and had a shower curtain. The service was hit or miss, with some welcoming interactions and difficulty finding staff when needed. The dining experience, especially with a Groupon voucher, was satisfying. However, the facilities lacked some expected amenities, and the overall value for money was questionable.
